El Hoyo IG

El Hoyo is a one-winery IG. The INV recognised it in Resolution 25/2023, published on 11 September 2023, on the request of Patagonian Wines SA. Bernardo Weinert started the winery after an experimental plot of 300 vines went in at El Bolsón. It has 28 hectares, of which 25 are planted, to Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and Gewürztraminer.

I haven't found soil or climate figures for the zone. The Piedra Parada Pinot Noir comes from a separate 3 hectare plot on the Chubut river, 255 km to the southeast, so I'll check which vineyard each bottle comes from.
