Iglesia is the highest of San Juan's wine valleys, with vineyards from 1,800 to 2,100 metres according to the president of the province's winemakers' council. In 2025 students at the Escuela Agrotécnica Cornelio Saavedra in Rodeo made a rosé from high-altitude criolla grapes off old pergolas in Rodeo and Colola, and it won a gold medal at the Cata de Vinos San Juan. Reports in 2019 also mentioned new projects in Las Flores and Angualasto.
