Pomán IG

Pomán is the warm end of Catamarca. At 900 to 1,000 metres it sits well below Fiambalá and Santa María, and one Catamarca taster finds the reds show warmth and sun.

Bodega Michango, run by Oscar Andreatta on the edge of San Fernando de Catamarca, buys grapes from Siján in the Valle de Pomán. Marcelo Moreno is the winemaker, and the range includes an Andreatta Malbec and a blend.
