Quebrada de Humahuaca IG

Altitude is the story here. Fernando Dupont's Punta Corral 2015 came from Maimará at more than 2,500 metres, with Marcos Etchart as winemaker.

The Asociación Bodegas de la Quebrada de Humahuaca has 15 member wineries and says they make about 200,000 litres in total. Gastón Cruz's Don Milagro is in Purmamarca, Adolfo Kindgard has Bodega Kindgard, and there's also Dupont and Amanecer Andino. A vineyard in Tilcara sits in the Huichaira area.

I'd look for Malbec that keeps its acidity, and I'd check the label for the vineyard's altitude.
