San Luis IG

The resolution describes the province as terroirs with distinctive qualities suited to quality wine. San Luis is a tiny wine producer, with 103.2 hectares in 9 vineyards at the end of 2025.

The one producer I found a report on is Viñas Puntanas, at Bajo de Véliz in the Valle de Conlara, about 20 kilometres from Merlo. A 2015 article said the Quiroga Hourcade family made their first harvest there in 2010, and that the vineyard covers about 30 hectares with Tannat, Syrah, Tempranillo and Bonarda among its reds.
