Ullum IG

Ullum is one of the San Juan valleys a winery can name on a label, alongside Tulum, Zonda, Pedernal and Calingasta.

There's little published on Ullum's altitude or soils, so I'll stick to what's been reported. Putruele is a family winery with vineyards in the Tulum, Zonda and Ullum valleys.

When I open an Ullum red I'll be looking for that plum and sour cherry fruit, and for enough freshness to keep it lively.
