A blend of 55% Grenache, 38% Syrah, and 7% Mourvèdre, the 2022 Corazon del Sol Luminoso Single Block 13 from the Uco Valley pours a deep inky purple with a neon purple rim. Crushed marionberry leads the nose, with dried black olive, white peppercorn, and new leather filling in behind it. Dark licorice and black fruit compote take over on the palate, which is full-bodied and lush across its whole width. Moderate-plus acidity keeps that weight from spreading, and the finish is long, warm, and openly generous.
