Medium gold in the glass, the 2023 Corazon del Sol Semillon from the Uco Valley opens on beeswax and green almond before any fruit appears at all. Quince and yuzu peel follow, dense and slightly waxy, with crushed limestone running beneath them and a fine saline edge coming up behind. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied and packed, a taut acid spine holding all that weight in a narrow channel. The finish widens out at the last moment and runs long and dry, leaving the almond note behind.
