Huaco IG

The INV recognised Huaco in Resolution 6/2026, signed on 16 October 2026 and published in the Boletín Oficial on 22 October 2026. San Miguel Arcángel S.A. applied for it. The resolution says the area has terroirs with distinctive qualities for quality wine, and no objections were filed.

The applicant runs Vista Larga, a family estate in the Valle de Huaco with a winery, an olive oil plant and walnut trees, and says it is certified organic. It's too early for a track record. I'll watch for bottles that name Huaco and note what grapes and winery are behind them.
