Sanagasta IG

The INV counted 23 hectares in 4 vineyards in 2024, with 19 of those hectares planted between 2010 and 2019. One winery is registered. The valley has a long wine tradition: Finca Lomas Blancas says it has operated since 1856, over five generations.

The area got more notice in October 2026 when the INV recognised Huaco, a separate IG inside Sanagasta, at the request of San Miguel Arcángel S.A.

I'd look for a bottle that names Huaco or a specific finca, and I'd ask who grew the grapes.
