Jujuy IG

Jujuy has the smallest vine area of the five northwest provinces. The INV counted 71.8 hectares and 28 vineyards in 2025, and Malbec accounts for 26 hectares of that.

The two IGs are different places. Some Quebrada vineyards climb past 2,500 metres. The southern valleys around Perico sit at 700 to 1,600 metres and get 700 to 1,200 millimetres of rain a year.

When I see Jujuy on a label I check which of the two the grapes came from.
